THE BRIGHTER SIDE TO THE PANDEMIC

Amidst the growing negativity around the world with ever-increasing pandemic fear, we must also see the bright side that we live in ‘advanced era’. Pandemics have not been new to earth, what is new is the approach that we are privileged with. Looking at the brighter side, we have far better technology which makes it easier to determine the source as well as the transmission of the virus, to begin with. The major breakthrough is the communication advancement that adorns the society like never before. Not only we can know well being of our loved ones during such difficult times but also effectively communicate preventive measures, which could have been a drawback in previous times. As we say, the earlier the better.

As we talk about the communication, how can we forget about the real-time updates available on almost every aspect of the pandemic. Well, this may be depressing at times, but knowing is better than being ignorant of what’s happening around us. More sugar to your sweet tooth, this pandemic as we know can be controlled (which is good news) by staying home. What can be better than this? When all our lives we wanted a break, me time. There you go. You have lots of time to yourselves and a big break. Okay, this is not hilarious now, for most of us are bored and homesick. But to look at the bright side we are 24x7 connected to our world, to our families, within our country or anywhere in the world. Again, entire humanity is thankful for this amazing technology and the inventors of such blessings (yes that’s the word that I am getting in my mind right now) in these testing times. Many of you are even getting food at your doorstep. Government, as well as many organisations, have voluntarily taken up the task of serving the nation and society at large by their own means.

This is a reminder to all those who are whining about lockdown, pandemic and their current situation. To begin with, yes the situation is bad, but you should know that you live in the 21st century. So it is way better. Better than, what your forefathers must have gone through. You already know the source and everyday scientist are working hard to find a cure. Let’s not lower their morale. And to all the doctors who work day and night to save this falling world. Yes, cheers to these people who are not expecting any gratitude but your mature cooperation. To the forces who have always kept their promises of protecting the nation from enemies and now from irrational people of society who like to wander when they are supposed to stay home. The irony, I know. So instead of cribbing about what’s all going wrong, let’s just pour some light on the brighter side of the story.  Stay home. Stay positive to positive thoughts off course (a little sarcasm to brighten your day). Stay strong. Stay connected.
