Truth about Work-Life Balance

As everyone speaks of it, work-life balance is juggling your various duties perfectly. But has anybody perfected anything? Perfection is a goal we want to reach but at the same time, it seems like it is a myth. You are different when you are home and something entirely different when you are at your workplace. This shift in personality is due to the responsibilities that you carry, the expectations that you keep with yourself and the culture cultivated inside you. But are you able to balance your work-life? That too daily...

And then you are guilty of lacking on the end you could not be perfect. It could be work end or personal life end. Something or other suffers in this race of surviving and thriving. And hats off to the jugglers in the circus, for in real life juggling is a task that nobody is perfect at. Should that be a roadblock on the road to our happiness? Well, it's okay to feel dejected and sad sometimes for not being able to perfectly juggle work and life. It's okay to feel emotions in the first place. It's absolutely fine. But don't let it linger on and take a huge space in your head. Let them come and go. Acknowledging emotions is a great way of handling emotions.

Moreover, nobody is perfect. We are finding ways each day to know the perfect equation of perfection. At the end of the day, it is prioritising that works for most. On some days it's work that takes over personal life and on others, it's the life that takes over work. Both situations are completely fine. Sulking at the workplace to find balance in personal life or vice-versa won't allow happiness to enter your life. Sometimes, we need to let go of our control over everything and enjoy the little moments we create while we are on this journey to find perfection. You won't be in a win-win situation all the time. Even if you hit the ground, keep going. Even if you soar in the sky with colours of success, keep going. Do not take a huge stop to be in the lumber of sadness. Instead, take a pause, introspect and understand juggling is difficult. What's more difficult is to stop yourself from soaking into the sea of dissatisfaction. Every day is learning. Every day is a new day.

You'll be fine. Just learn the art of prioritising. One day one priority, another day another and just like that. Life won't be easy but you would be a happier version of yourself. And a happy mind can deal with any crisis.
